I just started PvPing yesterday, and now I HATE Monks. Every single time I ran into a Monk, I would use all my adrenaline and energy on trying to take him down. I would sit there for 3-5 minutes trying to kill the Monk and it seemed impossible. I have a near maxed Chaos Axe, which has max damage and 15^50. I am completely stumped on how it is even possible to kill Monks, and they seem like the overpowered PvP class like Warlocks were in WoW. I even tried disrupting but every ability they use is near instant cast and my disrupts take about 2 seconds to finally go off.

Question is, is there a weakness I am unaware of? What can I do to finally kill a Monk? Thanks in advance.

Hammer, knockdowns.

Kinda hard to cast anything sitting on your butt.

Don't really pvp, so you could ignore if you like.

You probably should of posted this on the warrior forums...

Anyways I think zelira is right. Be a hammer warrior and take alot of knockdowns. To take down a monk you need to have your whole team focusing on him/her to by the way.

Also another monk stratagy thats annoying is running in circles. I have never tryed this but you may want to consider crippleing us monks.

You also might want to consider bringing skull crack(espically if your useing a knockdown build). This will daze the monk and make there spells take longer to cast makeing them heal themselves less and amkeing them easier to interupt.

Also be sure to bring flurry to gain more adrenaline.

And when you attack a monk ctrl double click on him so your whole team can target him/her.

Another problem you may be haveing is that your team isn't useing the right builds. Degen, interupts, and spike damage own monks so be sure to have the right team if you aren't in the random arenas.

You can't expect to get quick kills the first time you play PvP. Play more and you'll get better.

If you separate the monk from his party you can kill him with 2 players, or separate the monk and then have the rest of your party kill the monks party.
(separated = outside aggro bubble of the rest)
Or just wear him down with attacks so the rest of your party have an easier time to kill.

Monks don't like to be targeted by domination mesmers btw, mesmers give them problem to heal. Thus you quite often see warriors working together with mesmers.

16 in axe mastery and frenzy helps.

You could try playing boon prot yourself (there's a pre-made if you start a PvP-only character) once or twice and you'll understand monks better (quite likely you'll get flattened by an enemy warrior in little time because you're unfamiliar with the skillbar and movement).

Don't you just love Monks over powered I don't think so it is our jop to protect ppl like you agianst Mesmers,Necros,Rangers and Especially Elems.You might want to rethink your build and read up on PvP builds.I forgot Sins and Rits as well now.
